[греч. allos — другой и stereos — пространственный; лат. modulatio — мерность, размеренность, перемена ладов]вещества, связывающиеся с участком фермента (рецептора), отличным от активного центра, и изменяющие выраженность эффекта агонистов или антагонистов. А.м. могут быть позитивными или негативными, усиливающими или ослабляющими действие лигандов соответственно; напр., к А.м. относится салицилгидразид, который оказывает специфическое ингибирующее действие на ГАМКА-рецепторы (см. гамма-аминомасляная кислота).Толковый биотехнологический словарь.
